Licensed Psychologist for Adult Psychiatric Outpatient Care

About the Operation

The adult psychiatric outpatient care is the foundation of the psychiatric operation where our responsibility is to investigate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate in the patient's local environment.

Our target groups are individuals in need of specialist psychiatric care for psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, neuropsychiatric disabilities, severe personality disorders, complex PTSD, deep depression, or substance disorders in comorbidity with mental illness. Our work is based on regional medical guidelines and routines. We collaborate with other healthcare providers and community actors.

The psychiatric clinic is located at Strömstad Hospital just a stone's throw from the sea. There is also a branch in Tanumshede for patient visits. We have a mobile acute team that provides care every day from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Our inpatient care is primarily located at NÄL in Trollhättan. We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, doctors, unit managers, and team secretaries.

Job Responsibilities

• Assessments, investigations, and treatments of psychiatric disorders
• Individual or group psychotherapies
• Neuropsychiatric assessments and personality mapping.

Within the adult psychiatric clinic, supervision and regular meetings with psychologist colleagues are provided. There are also opportunities for further education and training.

Qualifications

Licensed psychologist. As a person, you are responsible, structured, organized, creative, and interested. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working independently and in a team. You are positive and engaged and want to contribute to the development of the clinic's work and routines in the right direction. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Other

A valid driver's license (B) is required. We conduct interviews continuously throughout the application period. When filling a position within psychiatry, we always request a background check from the criminal record and suspicion register. This request is handled by the employer.
